food is great and ordering is super easy on the ipad but not a big fan of when people go up and start singing, not that their singing is bad or anything but a lot of times it's like opera and I just didn't anticipate listening to someone's aunt from china (or maybe she's born here and she's really engrained in her own culture and it would be rude for me to assume where she grew up) singing chinese/taiwanese/etc songs while I eat chinese skewers recommendations: the cartilage (fire, if you're into this type of stuff) chicken skin lamb what i didn't like: the pork or beef blood rectangles (hella salty)

if you're down for a loud, lively place to hang out w/ good vibes, come here! there's people doing karaoke & the atmosphere really immerses you into the culture. the food was yum & service was fast as well. you order on a tablet & it is so convenient! food: i recommend the calamari from the appetizer section, as well as trying the golden pot soup, it was delish & different for me. not a big fan of the skewers because the seasoning tasted a bit overpowering for me ngl, but it was okay. stinky tofu 4/5: it was stinky but not THAT stinky. parking: lots of free parking & street parking

I really like this place! The skewers served are in abundance. The number of skewers served for each orders varies, depending on what's ordered. You get the most for your buck on chicken and beef skewers. I don't remember, but I thinks there's between 6 to 9 skewers for each order. However, the skewers are quite small, as in bite size pieces. You have the choice to either order the spicy or non-spicy ones. So basically we ordered mostly the beef ones that's both spicy and non-spicy. We also had chicken gizzards, lamb, pork belly, and more beef. Along with all that we ordered their Golden Soup Pot, which is a combination of meat and vegetables. Other items ordered are their cooked razor clams, along with their Cucumber Salad. Usually we order a pitcher of beer to drink along with all the skewers. Oh yeah, and we ordered "shots of wine" too, which basically consist of different fruits flavored wine. It looks great, and it won't hit you as hard compared to liquor. Lol. Overall, this is a nice place to go without breaking your wallet. Everything is reasonably priced, and the good thing is being able try out different things. The food is good, and I was never disappointed. The only problem is parking on weekends, and perhaps a long wait. They won't reserve a table for you even when you call. And the whole party should be present before they'll seat you. Service is good most of the time, if the servers are not overwhelmed. I get it. And on weekends, they might have karaoke singer in stage. Ha!

On Christmas Eve there was a 10 minute wait for a party of two at 6:30. It's a self-order style restaurant with a tablet where you choose what to order and adjust the dish to your preferences (no spicy, less seasonings, etc). The food takes about 10-15 minutes to arrive after that, and they set your skewers on the hotplate on the table. During our meal they had live karaoke, which was livelier and helped create a warm atmosphere during a holiday. It did take a bit of time to catch a server's attention even with the service button on the wall. The lamb skewers were fattier than the beef, and their grilled fish and chicken gristle were our favorite dishes, perfectly seasoned and cooked to be crispy and tender. The chives and enoki mushrooms were a good way to cut the meat, but the garlic enoki mushrooms were doused in oil/butter. They also have additional skewer seasoning on the side. There were napkins and plastic utensils in the drawer on the side. Their dessert selection is varied with smaller cups of shaved ice or a larger size, and we went with the matcha red bean shaved ice this time. The mochi was a perfect pair to keep the dessert from being too sweet. A standard Chinese skewer place!

Easy ordering with tablet and order came out fast. I like the big selection and the chicken gristle was a hit. Although the skewers are small, I feel like they're decently priced still considering the quantity. Also like that there's the warming tray(?) to keep skewers warm. I like the interior, it's cute.

Fun spot with a wide variety of food and easy ordering system! My fellow yelp elite friend introduced me to this place and i couldn't wait to bring my family to it! The only con is they don't take reservations and they get sooo busy. i am to visit on weeknights so it'll be a 10-15 minute wait? There's street parking and a parking lot next to it. a con my brother would share is that it's too loud LOL esp with karaoke but i think it's fun! I lovee that we can order everything via a tablet. its convenient, quick and pressure less as I repeatedly scroll through the same sections to look at pics Food: pretty great! some of the meat choices are very fatty but its still great flavor, fun to eat and nice bang for your buck. i loveeee the variety of menu items such as soups, noddles, veggies and desserts I'd continue returning, especially with friends that haven't visited

This has been one of my favorite spots in Monterey Park!!! You can't go wrong with anything that you ordered!! They have upgraded their system to order via tablet making ordering super fast and easy! They have pictures and can order constantly without having to flag someone down! The best time is to go is Saturday when it's super lively! But be very aware there's always quite a long wait if you get there after 630pm. They end up having karaoke later in the night! It's really great for groups. I recommend coming with minimum 4 people so you can order more food! Alcohol is reasonably priced here too! I definitely recommend eating here and expect it to be loud if it's a friday/Sat night!! Definitely rowdy but fun & entertaining!!

Wait times are a bit long but worth it. The food and vibes of the restaurant are great. They have some new items on the menu which are some of my faves. The stinky tofu is really good, the outside has a crispy texture and the tofu absorbs all of the flavor from the delicious sauce. They now also have lamb skewers that are sold by a single skewer since they are bigger pieces. These are meatier Than their regular skewers that come in the larger quantity. Everything else on the menu is really good also.

Came here with my mom and sister on a Friday night, and the place was PACKED! We waited about 1.5 hours to get seated, but we were excited to try everything, so we didn't mind too much. Once we got in, we went all out with our order - skewers, noodles, durian pizza, you name it! The total was pretty reasonable, especially considering we had leftovers for days. The durian pizza was underwhelming. I was hoping for a stronger durian flavor, but it was pretty mild, almost too subtle. The skewers started off great - they were flavorful and fun, but eventually, they all started tasting the same, which was a bit of a letdown. The noodles were delicious, though, and definitely one of the highlights. The vibe here is super lively with a singer on stage, and my mom and sister had a blast with the shots of wine. It was a fun experience, but I think it's better suited for a big group. That way, you can try a lot more dishes and really make the most of the menu variety.
